Anxiety can be overwhelming and so intense it can stop you from doing things you enjoy.  The thoughts can be exhausting and relentless.  Sometimes the fear and discomfort can be so bad you might not even want to leave the house, or you might have started to engage in behaviors you don’t understand like hoarding, rituals, or compulsions. 

Anxiety can be a result of many things – trauma, low self-esteem, and build ups of stress that haven’t been dealt with. It also manifests itself in surprising ways – like comparing ourselves to others, judging ourselves for our thoughts/feelings, and perfectionism amongst others. The good news is that there are a lot of methods and techiniques that can help you cope better and feel less anxious.
